I haven't tried new soaping techniques for quite a while so between re-branding work on Saturday and lots of paper work I decided to take a break and go play with some soap lol. I tested the funnel pour 1st and I have just finished cutting them into bars. The soap could have done with mellowing for 1 - 2 days again, but I was anxious to see the finished results.
Which I am quite happy with :) I used a different scent in every color and ended up with a yummy fruit salsa fragrance.
I used lots of soft oils to make these bars as I was worried if I would have had enough time to "play' with the soap. I realized you do need a bit of time but not too much especially since I worked rather quickly during the pour. I will be trying this method again this week but this time I will be using a much higher quantity of hard oils. All in all, I love this technique. I first saw it on Soap Queen blog and has since seen many soapmakers creating beautiful funnel pour soaps.
One great advantage with soap making is; its art! So, you could never really go wrong.. so give it go, it sure was fun for me.
Hi Stephanie, it is done as a business actually.
