I have actually seen these selling in Trinidad, at Trincity Mall, tried them on and was very tempted to purchase but opted out last minute. 

YES! I would actually love to give this a try. Designed after a local 'sling shot' I must say a pretty cool idea. The only question would be if the extended wooden parts at the top would feel un-comfortable against the side of your feet.  I doubt. What do you think?
